With the Fall portion of our 2012 season now done, we are turning our sights to planning for the Spring and Summer season to come.
We have some significant roster guideline rules in the works along with some reclassification guidelines.
If you do not have your roster online, please do so immediately.
BAT RULE CHANGES
I wanted to remind everyone of the rule change for bats that keeps getting closer to us on the calendar. All bats with the current BPF 1.20 mark are good through 2012 with the new approval stamp going into effect Jan 1st, 2013.
In an effort to keep up with the safety needs of our players we have implemented new testing standards for bat manufacturers. We have put in place extended bat use tests that will allow manufacturers to make bats that still meet our current standards of 1.20 BPF.
The key change will be that with ongoing use these bats will show significant wear or damage before they get "too hot" through extended use or illegal altering or "doctoring" of the bat itself.
